Becoming a Youth Official

Earn Extra Easy $$$ This Spring. Become a Youth LAX Referee!!!

Get paid (up to $85 a game) to watch the game you love to play!

Badgerland is looking for people interested in becoming certified youth lacrosse referees for boys’ and girls’ games (ages U8-U14) in the greater Dane County area in 2025. 

All you need is to:

1) Be at least a sophomore in high school

2) Be an active USA Lacrosse Member

3) Complete some basic, virtual instruction courses on USA Lacrosse

4) Complete USA lacrosse officials’ online exam (50 questions)

5) Attend 2 virtual classroom sessions (4 hours in Feb/March 2025)

6) Attend an on-field, training session (2 hours in April 2025)

(Note: Returning refs only have less session requirements.)

It’s that simple to give back to the game you love and make some $$ at the same time!
